Connectors, reducers, hit-and-hold voltage reduction modules
...in addition to connectors and reducers we also offer the CoolCube "hit & hold" circuit. 100 ms after being energized (hit), CoolCube reduces the voltage and power supplied to the solenoid device to a level sufficient to "hold" it in the energized state. Two types are available, one provides a 67% voltage step-down, the other 50%. The device is primarily intended as a tool for developers. It's assumed that most instrument manufacturers will provide the necessary step-down circuitry as part of their proprietory electronics.
