An inexpensive product for qualitative analyses.

Scope of delivery:

• Back plate
• 2 neoprene O-rings
• Fixing ring
• 3 slip nuts

Assembly:

Place one of the neoprene O-rings into the backplate, followed by one of the windows. Add the sample and the second window. Finally, place the second neoprene O-ring on the window, followed by the 3-point fixing ring and the three slip nuts.

As the use of a spacer between the windows is not necessary, the pathlength of the cell is infinitely variable. Should you, however, prefer to work with a predetermined pathlength - for example, for determining sample concentration - a range of spacers in various thicknesses is available - please check out the accessories shown at the bottom of the page.

A low-cost holder - ideal for schools and universities and durable enough for continuous use.

Usage:

1. The sample is placed between two undrilled IR windows that are separated by a PTFE spacer which determines the pathlength.
2. The windows are then inserted into the holder and secured by the threaded retaining ring.

The Mini Cell is an economical method of obtaining qualitative IR spectra from paste or mull samples.

Scope of delivery:

• POM body
• Slide plate with holder - for positioning the cell in your spectrophotometer
• 6 x AgCl windows

Each of the AgCl windows has a 0.025 mm, circular depression. A pathlength of either 0.025 mm or 0.05 mm can be set, depending on the orientation of the windows.
