L1314 high-intensity deuterium lamp. Water-cooled. 160-400 nm.

Overview:

The L1314 provides three to four times higher radiant intensity than a conventional 30 W deuterium lamp. The 150 W lamp is enclosed in a cylindrical metal jacket specially designed for water-cooling. The advantage of water-cooled lamps in comparison to air-cooled types is that the heat loss from the lamp is removed more quickly, ensuring high stability.

Specifications:

  • Spectral distribution: 160 to 400 nm
  • Window material: synthetic silica
  • Aperture diameter: 2.5 mm
  • Cooling method: water-cooling (obligatory)
  • Weight: approx. 720 g
  • Installation to vacuum port?: no, not possible

Operating parameters and characteristics (at 25 °C):

  • Warm-up time: approx. 20 s
  • Filament voltage during warm-up (DC, AC): 10 ±1 V
  • Filament current during warm-up (DC, AC): typically 1.2 A
  • Filament voltage during operation (DC): 5 ±0.5 V
  • Filament current during operation (DC): typically 0.8 A
  • Discharge starting voltage (DC): minimum 500 V
  • Anode current: 1.2 ±0.12 A
  • Tube drop voltage (DC): typically 120 V
  • Output stability:  fluctuation: 0.05 %p-p (max.), drift: ±1.0 %h (max.)
  • Cooling water flow rate: minimum 1.5 l/min
  • Estimated service life: 300 h - not guaranteed

Application examples:

  • Spectrophotometry, Fluorescence spectrophotometry
  • Static charge removal, for example from wafers or LCD panels
  • Photoionisation detector (PID)
  • Optical Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)
  • Photochemical reactions
  • Excitation light source
